Hint: Find 80% of 200.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or... you can keep the same ratio by multiplying the 80 by 2, and doing the opposite to the 200 (dividing the 200 by 2). So... what is 160% of 100?

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i suck at math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What part did you need explaining? Why I chose those numbers or how to do percents?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how to do percents

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah ok. For percents, you do this: Multiply the original number by the decimal form of the percent, to two places.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In other words: 89% becomes .89 So if we had 89% of 1000, you do: 1000 times .89, which is 890.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Protip: Since we always do percents to two places, something like 5% becomes .05 And something like 200% becomes 2.00 (or just times 2). So 200% of 4 is: 4 times 2.00 = 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So yeah, go ahead and do 80% of 200 for me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

160

OpenStudy (anonymous):

!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nice work. :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And you see why I chose 80% and 200 from 76 and 196, right?
