my 1st x is what ? & my 2nd x is what?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

i explained tht in the previous q x1=x of the 1st coordinate and so on...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

subtract your points (-2, 8) -(-10, 2) --------- 8 , 6 ; now pythag it should turn out to 10 in the long run

OpenStudy (amistre64):

for an old man like me; its easier to step thru it; even tho the formula provides all the information needed in a compact and concise manner; i like to step thru it. stack my points; subtract one from the other; and pythag it thru ..

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if your concerned over which point to subtract from which; dont worry about it. the distance from "here to there" is the same as the distance from "there to here" :)
