why does our skin stick to a ice cube at first touch?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

teh reason is that our sin usually has a small amount of moisture on it. when your skin comes in contact wiht the ice cube the small amount of water on your skin freezes which then adheres you to the ice cube. this affect is more pronounced with something like the tounge as there is much more water to freeze (of course just having water on your hands will cause this aswell). a way to stop ths from happening is to warm up the ice slightly therefore stoping it from freezing the moisture on your skin (you could just pour water on it) hope this helped
