The motor neurons that control your skeletal muscles are enervated directly by your brain.  This means that some neurons are nearly as long as your entire body.  This allows your body to respond quickly to a crisis (this is why reflexes are so quick).

Fun fact, giraffes have the longest neurons, stretching several meters down their necks.  Squid have a giant neurons that can be as much as a millimeter in diameter.

The longest human cells are about 135 µm in the anterior horn in the spinal cord while granule cells in the cerebellum, the smallest, can be some 4 µm and the longest cell can reach from the toe to the lower brain stem

up to about a metre and a half long, traveling from the base of your spine to your toes - it is all one long neuron.
