What is the difference between time and tense ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Time is the occurrence of an event in the past, present and future. Tense is how you are describing an event regardless of the time it occurred in. So, for instance, I could recall a memory of the past in the present tense. "I'm five years old and my father seems like a Titan - looming, massive, indestructible." It is happening in the past, but the tense is in the present. I hope that helps.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, Tense is a situation or event that occurred/occuring/shall occur in any span or period of Time (in present, past or in future). In addition, Tense is a situation in Time whereas Time is the duration or period for that situation.
