how do you type fractions again?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just put a /

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/2 = .5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[(a ^{1/2}b ^{3/8})/(a ^{1/4}b ^{1/8})\]

The commutative property of multiplication says you can put the "a"s together and the b's together since it is all multiplication. Then add the exponents on the a's and add the two exponents on the b's and you are done.
