Use the exponent rule to simplify. Assume the variables represent nonzero real numbers. Type the answer in exponential notation using positive exponents. (m^2n)^-6/m^-3n^8

1/m^12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/(m^9 n^14)

oops didn't see that negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/m^32

Way too many answers... which one is right, and how did you get there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply top and bottom...you get m^-12/ m^24.....negatives go on bottom and become positive so it's 1/ m^24+m^12 = 1/m^32

i mean 1/m^36...cleary my adding sucks today
