OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x-2y=-6 -3x-y=-12

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

x = 2 y = 6

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

-3y = -18 y = 6 Plug back in to get x value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the question is solve the equations by graphing

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

O, then will meet at that point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to show how to graph it.. its asking for 2 points for each equation then the y intercept

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

Convert these equations to y = mx + b format..For example the first one : 3x-2y=-6 : -2y = -3x - 6 y = 3/2x + 3 Make a point at 3 on the y intercept, and then go up three and move 2 units to the right..Keep going up three and 2 up until you make a long enough line. Do the same with the other.

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

After making the other line..you should see where they intersect and that is your answer. =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on let me try it lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so where do i start with the second line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for y sole the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya i dont get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=12-3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i do that with the point she gave me they dont intersect at that point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to solve for both equations .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i dont understand how to get 2 points for each of the equations
