parts of animal cells??? and thier function??? ^.^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

CELL MEMBRANE-outer membrane ,selectively permeable(ie allows only certain materials in or out) NUCLEUS-contains chromosomes with the dna RIBOSOMES-acts as a site for protein synthesis(wellu'll lern tat in detail in higher classes) GOLGI BODIES-theythey r densely stained structures in the nucleus, FUNCTIONS *packaging of materials *stores materialsetc....... MITOCHONDRIA-energy complex of the cell ENDOPLASMIC RECTICULUM-they r tiny structures in the ctoplasm FUNCTION- *protein synthesis *secertion etc... LYSOSOMES-called sucidal bags, holds the waste materials.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ps-MITOCHONDRIA-called store house of the cell,(produses energy in the form of atp)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Further notes; ENDOPLASMIC RECTICULUM; located around the nucleus an take in the tRNA to ribosomes on the surface of its structure and holds the protein strands to transport to the GOGLI BODY which matures the protein and folds it for use.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Smooth, and rough endoplasmic reticulum, rough endoplamic reticulum (RER) contains ribosomes embedded into the surface, smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER) does not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup, we have free ribosomes 'floating' round the cell while we have the bound ones on the RER

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cytosol - which is the liquid part of the cytoplasm containing lots of proteins. it combines with the organelles to form the cytoplasm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its quite cool, when you get higher in cell structure you'll learn all the fibers interconnecting the cell and the organelles move along them, fascinating
