wat is the difference between cytosol and cytoplasm

OpenStudy (aroub):

cytoplasm: is the region between the cell membrane and the nucleus , its made of a thick jelly like fluid that contains the small structures of the cell (which is called organelles) and if u want to know... most of the cell process take place in the cytoplasm well cytosol :is the liquid component of the cytoplasm surrounding the organelles and other are insoluble cytoplasmic structures in an intact cell where a wide variety of cell processes take place . but i think after all u have to know that the difference between the cytoplasm and the cytosol is that the cytoplasm is the fluid in the cell excluding the nucleus but INCLUDING the NON NUCLEUS organelles and the cytosol is the fluid in the cell excluding the nucleus and EXCLUDING the ORGANELLES

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The cytosol or intracellular fluid (or the soluble part of cytoplasm or cytoplasmic matrix) is the liquid found inside cells. Whereas cytoplasm is the thick liquid btw the cell membrance holding cell organelles.
