How do you graph an inequality?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Start by graphing it as though it were an equality. Then shade the region above or below the graph depending on the direction of the inequality.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(use a dashed line if it's strictly less than or greater than)

OpenStudy (across):

You replace the inequality sign with an equals sign, graph the line as per usual, put the inequality sign back, and shade the area where the inequality holds true. Make sure you draw a dotted line if the inequality is strict. Otherwise, draw a solid line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1- change the inequality be equal sign 2- form a table for x1,x2 and find their corresponed y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3- plot a line btwn the (x1,y1),(x2,y2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4- here take in advance that if the ineuality comes without equal sign, to draw a cutted line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5-then to spicify the solution area, take under the line and another point over the line to subtitute in the main inequality and check which subtitution gives the true value

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wish that is enough, and once you practice, you shall find interesting.

ok thanks ALOT :)

more than welcome
