Use the quadratic formula to solve the equation. 2x^2 -3x=-6 The solution set is {_}

OpenStudy (chaise):

2x^2 - 3x +6 =0 Do you know the quadratic formula? a=2 b= -3 c = 6 (-b +- sqrt(b^2+4ac))/2a Simply plug in your numbers and you get two solutions - do you need help with this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes please :)

OpenStudy (chaise):

that should have been - not + in that equation. -.- \[(-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac})/2a\] +3 +/- sqrt(3^2-4x2x6)/2x2 3 +/- sqrt(9-48)/4 Unfortunately your going to get an imaginary number. Sigh 3+/- sqrt39i/4
