2/3+1/4=

11/12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u show me how u found this answer

OpenStudy (aroub):

same steps... 2/3 +1/4 2/3*4 +1/4*3 8/12 +3/12 11/12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u need to find the common denominator in this case it is 12 so u add 8/12+3/12

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

\[\frac{2}{3}+\frac{1}{4}\] \[\frac{8}{12}+\frac{3}{12}\] \[\frac{8+3}{12}\] \[\frac{11}{12}\] So \[\frac{2}{3}+\frac{1}{4}=\frac{11}{12}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/5+1/4=

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the common denominator in this case 20 so it is 16/20+5/20 and the answer is 21/20
