How do i find an angle that is complementary to theta?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Complementary angles add to 90 degrees. So if z is complementary to theta, then \[z+\theta=90\], which means that \[z=90-\theta\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The question is theta = 63 degrees, 4 min and 15 seconds

OpenStudy (anonymous):

90 degrees minus theta is the complimentary angle, 180 degrees minus theta is the supplementary angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are 60 minutes in a degree, and 60 seconds in one minute

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

theta = 63 degrees, 4 min and 15 seconds 90 - theta = 90 - (63 degrees, 4 min and 15 seconds) 90 - theta = (89 degrees 59 minutes 60 seconds) - (63 degrees, 4 min and 15 seconds) 90 - theta = 26 degrees 55 minutes 45 seconds So the complementary angle is 26 degrees 55 minutes 45 seconds
