then multiply two number, then add the exponent with same bases \[3*4 x^{2+1}y^{4+2} \] \[12 x^{3}y^{6} \]
so when you multiply them you always add the exponents?
yeh but they should hav the same base
only if you have same base \[x^2 x^4=x^6\] \[x^2 y^4=x^2 y^4\]
