Is it diploid cell or diploid chromosomes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh? Please google and read some information.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ploidy levels refer to the amount of pairs of chromosomes present in a cell. Typically, you'll deal with haploid (N) or diploid (2N) cells. Diploid means that there is 1 pair of each chromosome present. Haploid means that there is only one of each chromosome present. For example: The typical cell for many animals is diploid. Humans have 23 types of chromosomes. Since their cells are diploid, they have 46 chromosomes in total (23 x 2 of each). Gametes (sperm and egg cells) are often haploid, and so they only have 23 chromosomes.
