6x/x-3 = 4x+6/x-3

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

denominators are the same so they cancel multiply by (x-3) on both sides leaving 6x = 4x +6 solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. i got x=3 but on my answer sheet it says there is no solution

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

good oh hmm did i write the problem wrong is it \[\frac{6x}{x-3} = \frac{4x+6}{x-3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats it

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

oh oops yes x=3, however what happens to denominator if you plug in x=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
