need help finding the y-intercept and the x-intercept of -20x+y=12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make y by itself, y=20x+12, 12 is the y-intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x intercept might be -6, u might want to double check that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im pretty sure im wrong on the x-intercept part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it might be -4/5 also. Sorry im not a professional :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am trying to check it and I am coming up with something way off from what you got

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but squareroot x is \[\pm x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean squareroot 16 can be +4 AND -4. thats how we solve all quadratic equations, remember?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I got you
