sin(4x)tan(4x)=sin(4x) I know that if you divide by sin(4x) you're going to lose a ton of potential answers...so what should I do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin(4x)tan(4x)-sin(4x)=0 sin(4x)(tan(4x)-1)=0 sin(4x)=0 and tan(4x)-1=0 now solve them seperately

you wont loose any answer

I cant believe I didnt factor it! Thanks Hashir

no problem...... u r welcome

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Keep in mind that if you divide both sides by sin(4x), you'll have to worry about a ton of restrictions on x (to avoid division by zero). So dividing both sides by this quantity is not a good idea.

so nobody was dividing it !!!!!
