10 - 2x=3+4x

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

2x = -7 x = - 7/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok see here: \[10-2x=3+4x\] transpose 4x to left hand side and 10 to right hand side : \[-2x-4x=3-10\] \[-6x=-7\] dividing both sides by -6 \[x=-7/-6\] \[x=7/6\]

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

lols , woops my bad , i mad a silly mistake xD

any more problems u can ask me now :) within 5 minutes i have to leave :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why did you subtract 3 - 10? Arent you suppose to add?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bmanny5 , i transposed 10 to right hand side right! now see , when we transpose any positive integer to other side , it becomes negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and similarly when a negative integer or rational number is transposed to other side it becomes positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope u have got it now, any more problems

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No that's it thanks for all your help.
