I need help graphing y=(-3/4)x+5 trying to graph using x= 2, 1, 0,-1 and finding the y and x intercept? Need HELP
what do you need help with? Plot those x coord. on your graph. To get your y coordinate simply evluate you equation using each one of those x values
need help with steps
r u still there?
yea
i mean what steps. Here is how you do it. you have x= 2, 1, 0,-1,these are places on the x axis. Now. you have the equation y=(-3/4)x+5, for x=2 simply replace x with 2 in your equation and evaluate, what i mean is this : y=(-3/4)(2)+5. Now you compute that you will get a value that is called the y coordinate. Now with you finger locate your x coordinat, 2, and either move up or down until you find the y coodinate on your graph. Once you do that mark that place with a black dot. Do the same for the rest of the x's, (1,0,-1). You might get fraction when you evluate your function y=(-3/4)x+5 at these points, but thats okay, just mark them.
k. thanks
so what about intercepts x and y
hello?
to find the x intercept, set the y to be zero and solve for x to find the y intercept, set the x to zero and solve for y
this is what i got.
trying to see what i did wrong.
first of all the y intercept is (0,5)
i think that solves your problems
okay
does my math look okay?
yeah, because that the only coordiant that seems to be off, otherwise nice job
i'm just very comfused.
cool.
your good man
click the good answer button if i helped you
thanks.
sorry... still confused.....try to find Y intercept. and i'm not gettting 5? could youshow me the steps?
