find the y-intercept of the function: f(x)=(-3x^2)+5x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the Y-intercept, set x=0. F(0)=0. So your Y-intercept is at 0.

then how do i find the x-intercept?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For any problem asking you to graph, or find the value of "f(x)", aka "y-intercept", set the values for the domain (x value) and then solve the equation like Ecks said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the x-intercept, set y=0. This problem is a little harder. 0=(-3x^2)+5x. That factors to 0=x(-3x+5). Therefore, your x-intercepts are at x=0 and at x=(5/3).
