Evaluate the expression when x=15 and y=12 How would I go about solving this? Can someone walk me thorough it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just replace x,y with the values given. \[x-3y \over6\]wehn x=15, y=12 \[15-3\times12\over6\]\[-9\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its so simple just put the values into variables, do x= 15 in equation and y = 12 so you get (15 - 3*12) /6 :D ;)

Yup, so what's the deal?

Fractions are giving me a hard time. Again. -__-
