you will see that on the unit circle you are right at (1,0) so
\[\cos(0)=1, \sin(0)=0\] should memorize these they are very common

so we can find the oppsite side of theta by using the Pythagorean thm
solve this for opp:
\[opp^2+10^2=12^2\]
