are u the only 1 who replies to post on this site ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do too...

OpenStudy (divanshu):

no , i have many great friends who are taking rest so its my duty now, you know " we learn from open source and return to open source "

Learning C will take quite some time and a good language in which to learn the concepts. No point learning just the syntax of lots of languages and not really being useful with it.

c++>perl/lisp>java> enjoy....

It's funny that you are talking about your next programming language when you should spend a good year or so learning the intricacies of C before bothering to jump into any other language (mastering a language takes about 10 years according to great programmers). Once you feel you've got a good grasp of what exactly goes on behind the scenes, try something like C++ or Java. C++ would be my recommendation, but Java is also a solid place to go. If you are interested in making a lot of money (over $100K), really consider Java as Enterprises rely on it greatly.

As per my experience i shall advice you to study OOP using after C++. Hence you kno C language you can learn C++ very easily and start with java which is similar to C++,,,, Once you finished studyin java and C++, you can understand any kind of programming languages in the world! So start with c++ and then java and go to other subjects like .net,c# ,,,etc etc.... If you are good in programming do not choose HTML because its just a designing language! Switch to OOP and java you will have a very good future!

I agree with deniatus, in another question you mentioned you'd only been working with C for 2 weeks so I don't know why you are already concerned with the next language to learn. I'd say stick with one language for at least a year before you move on to another one, and even then you should probably still keep learning C, in this case. Though since you've just started I'd recommend droppin C and switchin to Python, as it is an easy language to learn and MIT offers a free online intro to Computer Programming course that is based off Python that I'm actually working through right now.

if you learn C well , you don't need to ask this question ever , after you learned and mastered C , you WILL know what to do for sure
