OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did it become sin*2x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pythagorean i believe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if it was just (sec(x)-cos(x))/tan(x) then it will be : ((1-cos^2(x))/cos(x))/tan(x) =sin^2(x)/sin(x) =sin(x) --------------------------------------- if it was sec(x)-(cos(x)/tan(x)) then : sec(x)-(cos^2(x)/sin(x)) =sec(x)-((1-sin^2(x))/sin(x)) =sec(x)-cosec(x)-sin(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so duz it help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why did you multiply sin^2x/cos^2 by cosx/sinx?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first of all, tanx=sinx/cosx. multiply by the reciprocal, cosx/sinx
