what is the structure of choloplasts, the cell wall and the central vacuole? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

heyy it should be chloroplast:) chloroplast is an oval shaped organelle made up of two membranes, it contains chlorophyll and enzyme for photosynthesis. The inner membrane is highly folded in order to provide a large surface area for photosynthesis to take place. Vacuole is a membrane bound organelle that contains dissolved substance. It appears as a large central cavity filled with cell sap and contains a solution of sugars, proteins and mineral. Cell Wall contains tough cellulose microfibrils laid down in layers. It is strong and rigid and fully permeable. It gives the cell a regular shape and protects the inner structure.

CHLOROPLAST- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Chloroplast.svg CELLWALL- http://www.biology4kids.com/files/cell_wall.html CENTRAL VACUOLE-In plant cells central vacuole is enclosed by a membrane termed the tonoplast. Plants internal membrane network or the endomembrane system is highly integrated and tonoplast is an important component of it. As the cell matures smaller vacuoles fuse together to form a large vacuole. These smaller vacuoles are derived from the Golgi apparatus and endoplasmic reticulum. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/vacuole-structure.html
