domain of 4/ (2x+3y)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

You cannot divide by zero, so the denominator cannot be zero. \[\Large 2x+3y\neq 0\] \[\Large 3y\neq -2x\] \[\Large y\neq -\frac{2}{3}x\] So the domain is the set of all real numbers for x and y, but \[\Large y\neq -\frac{2}{3}x\]
