Find the limit: lim x-->0 sin5x/sin4x is it 5/4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0/0 indeterminate you'll have to somehow rewrite it unless you are in calculus 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it will be 5/4 though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so whatever you did was correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cool. thank you!

OpenStudy (kirbykirby):

U can use l'Hopital's rule right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since it is in 0/0 form u can use l hospitals rule. i.e u can differentiate the numerator and denominator seperately. so u will get 5 ( cos 5x)/4 ( cos 4x) now u can substitute 0 then u will get the answer as 5/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes you can use l'hopitals as long as it's in 0/0 form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or infinity over infinity -infinity/infinity
