1. 65g= ___mg? 2. 6.3cm= ______mm?
g- gram mg- milligram cm- centimeter mm- millimeter
1g = 1000mg 1cm = 10mm Does that help? (I'll give you a medal if you write the right answer)
65g= 65000mg? 6.3cm= 63mm?
Yup! :D
yay! :D thankyou!
No worries :D
When you have these kind of problems, always set them up first. mg = 1.65 g x 1000 mg/1 g. The g cancel out and you will be left with mg. You have to know the conversions first. You will never go wrong with this method. It is called dimensional analysis.
I had learned that in biology yesterday i understand the concept but i find it to be a tad bit confusing. Like when it comes to deci, centi and milli. I don't know how to cancel them out like this is the problem that i'm stuck on. 8g __ 30cg im suppose to compare metric measurements but my biology teacher wants us to show our work like this. For example: 4L < 517cl 4L= 400 517cl 4L/ 1 x 100cl/ 1L
im suppose to see which one is greater.
Hmm okay, When you have is A ml greater than B L you need to convert to the same units, which you have done. The cancelling out I learned to think of it like this: |dw:1316792624045:dw| If you put one thing the same on top of another of the same then they cancel each other out. (so x/x =1, so 1*anything = anything) soo we are left with |dw:1316792789461:dw| That may be a strange way to see it, but it works in my mind so I remember it :)
