Differentiate b/w error & uncertainty?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uncertainty is a result of the fact that it is impossible to measure anything perfectly accurately. It is a result of the measurement tool. eg If a ruler is marked down to .1 cm then you will not be able to measure any finer detail than that. Error is a mistake that was made in the experiment. If everything in the experiment went perfectly there would be 0 error. But there are pretty much always small variables that weren't controlled for, including human error.
