How can I simplify the equation (e^2t)+(e^-2t)+2)? I know the answer but I donno how to,,,

this is not really an equation. what are you trying to do?

the answer is (e^t+e^-t)^2

oh i see. well you can see that they are the same by multiplying out in \[(e^t+e^{-t})(e^t+e^{-t})\] and see that it works
