Option: not yet correct. I think there needs to be an option where one could label a question as "not yet correct", when the question has been answered and accepted, but with an incorrect answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you ask a question, how do you know if the answers given are incorrect or not? If you know, you wouldn't need to ask the question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of course it should be available to other helpers, not to the one asking the question .... o_0

I don't think it will work like you think it will. Everyone thinks his or her answer is the correct answer, even if it's not. I think the "not yet correct" button will be used unnecessarily, and in excess.

Ok, but you recon there are sometimes wrong answers accepted as correct? It's still a problem.

If you get an answer from someone and somebody else gave it a medal, then maybe you're missing something. I would recommend continuing the dialogue in these instances. Ask "Why is that correct? Here's why I think you're wrong." Then the responders are more likely to explain it in a different way or to see their own mistake. If you continue to get the wrong answer, then you should work on rephrasing your question and ask it again in a different way. I have found that the more information given in the initial question, the better the answers are. I have participated in a thread that was 30+ entries long. It took me that long to understand the issue (which was recursion in programming). But I finally got it. No one said you have to end the thread once an answer has gotten a medal.
