CAN SUMBODY PLZZZZ ANWSERR!!! Find the constant of variation in the following problem. When x = 1, y = 6.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what do you come up with when you try it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know it

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then why would you want an answer to it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cus its my last question i got stuff to do

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the concept is to help you study; not to work for you for free ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when does 1 = 6 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk

OpenStudy (amistre64):

how can 1=6? seeing how it says to apply a constant of variation in there. lets assume we need something like 1k=6 then what would k be for this to happen?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you multiply 1 by to get 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6

OpenStudy (amistre64):

and that my friend IS the answer :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"constant of variation" means that there is a direct proportion, that some number times x = y

hero (hero):

Amistre, why did you disappear?

hero (hero):

I posted my version of the solution and you ran away...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

lol ... i know where to find it again :)

hero (hero):

I was hoping you could comment on it.
