How does one solve Maxwell's Equations, in the x-direction, in wave equation form, with a scaled Heaviside Step Function forcing, using Green's Functions?

This is terrible. I would 1. Write Maxwell's equations in wave equation form. Involves setting them equal to each other. 2. Go to my PDE book to the chapter about solving wave equations. I recall we did use the Heaviside function alot. It's fairly easy if i remember correctly. You'll make use of that French guy's general solution, d'Alembert's solution. Involves the driving term being the Heaviside. Not too hard... I think. 3. Green's Functions... Come to think of it, you won't want to mess with d'Alembert if you're using Green's Functions. They're a royal pain... Not much help, sorry.
