The Nucleus is the central Organelle of all Eurkaryotic Cells. It contains the fragile DNA, its membrane protecting the delicate molecules from the reactions that take place in the cytoplasm. The nucleus is the site of DNA replication, and the construction of RNA. The nucleus stains heavily and so are easily observed under a microscope. Not all human cells have nuclei however, red blood cells do not have nuclei so that they have more room for hemoglobin.
