Evaluate lim as u->infinity of tan^-1 u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\lim_{u \rightarrow \infty} ( \tan ^{-1} u)\]

myininaya (myininaya):

remember that we restrict the domain of y=tan(x) on the interval (-pi/2,pi/2) if x->pi/2 => y->infinity so if y=tan^{-1}(u) and u-> infinity, then y->pi/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u show teh steps

myininaya (myininaya):

that is the steps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as in can u use teh equation thing cuz im confused as 2 what u wrote...whre did u get y
