how many grams of carbon are in 100.0 g of sucrose? show your work.
percent mass of carbon in sucrose molar mass of sucrose 342.30g/mol mass of carbon in sucrose: 72.06g 72.06/342.30=21.05% Thus in 100.0g of sucrose there are 21.05 g of carbon. maybe show them in correct significant figures or something. :)
how many grams of oxygen are in 50.00 g of sucrose? show your work.
just find the percent mass of oxygen in sucrose again. and then multiply that by 50.00.
???? idk how
just do similarly to the methods i outlined and consult your book. oh, and also for the sucrose question, i was wrong. there are 12 carbon molecules in sucrose, and so the mass of carbon in 1 mol of sucrose needs to be 144.12 and so 100g of sucrose contains 42.10 g of carbon
can u please type it out like u did for the first one... and also is the first answer wrong??
percent mass of carbon in sucrose molar mass of sucrose 342.30g/mol mass of carbon in sucrose: 144.12g 144.12/342.30=42.1% Thus in 100.0g of sucrose there are 42.1 g of carbon. maybe show them in correct significant figures or something. :)
what about the second one, thank you
kaka this is about learning how to do the question not just getting it done so like anh said you find the over all molar mass of sucrose using the periodic table then find the mass of the carbon or oxygen in sucrose divide by the overall molar mass then times mass in grams
ya i will learn it, i don't have the time right now and need to get it done
what about the second one, thank you
