I need help with knowing how to use pronouns clearly and correctly will somebody please help me to under stand this better?

Pronouns basically replace a proper name. Ex: Jhonny ate dinner yesterday. You will use a pronoun to replace Jhonny. -> He ate dinner yesterday. It all depends on the gender (Female: she or her, Male: he or him, and there is "it" for an animal or thing) also they for a group. "I" for yourself... etc

In english, you always need to use a pronoun, which is different from other languages like spanish, where there are specific verb forms that imply the pronoun. Make sure to always use a pronoun or name when you are writing. If you are talking about a person for example, after the first time you refer to them, you can use the pronouns 'he' 'she' or 'they' afterwards, like chiki22 described. However, 'him' and 'her' are not pronouns to be used before verbs, they are possessive pronouns, which means you are explaining who something belongs to. Pronoun example: She left her bag. ('She' is the pronoun) Possessive pronoun example: Her bag sat on the chair. ('Her' was the possessive pronoun) I hope this helped clarify basic use of pronouns.
