a) Krill is the basic diet of Adélie penguins (Pygoscelis adeliae). A colony of about 25000 individuals catch approximately 28.5 metric tons of krill per day during the breeding season, which lasts around 90 days. (1 metric ton = 1000 kg). Write a function relating krill density and penguin feeding to find the maximum size of a colony
28.5/1000??would be the equation right??
28.5*1000 is the first step
i do not know what to do from there
anything else you might suggest
28.5*1000=28500??
yes then what would be the step to figuring out the final equation?
lating krill density and penguin feeding to find the maximum size of a colony
relating
I'm just guessing here, but once you multiply 28.5*1000 = 28500, Then multiply by 90(28500) to find the number of krill all the penguins have in the 90 day period. Then, Divide 2565000/25000 to get the exact number of krill per penguin. = 102.6. I don't know if it's right but i tried. Lol sorry!
thats great!! thanks so much for your help :))
