4(x – b) = x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x - 4b = x so then you would go 3x = 4b, from there you can solve for b or x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ugh i dont get this :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solving for x or b? You have to distribute the 4 into (x-b), so you multiply 4 by x and 4 by b to get 4x-4b=x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solving for x

Ok then subtract x from the right and left side and add 4b to the left and right side to get 3x=4b....then divide by 3 to get x=(4/3)b
