OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Linear = "the highest power of x is 1" (there are no \(x^2, x^{1/3}, \text{etc} \ldots\))

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

In other words, linear equations are just an unbroken straight line with no curves or bends, etc.

so how can i find out what -3x+5=4 is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
