I need to know where the SHIFT EXP button is on the calculator can someone plz help me on this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you are looking to calculate \[x^{y}\] then look for something like ^. If you are looking to calculate \[x*10^{y}\] just look for EXP, E (note this is not the same as e), or *10^.

I'm still lost lol, let me tell you what I'm looking at......Circumference: The circumference of the clock was 42 inches. Find the diameter in inches.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you should know that the circumference of a circle is given by \[c=2*\pi*r\]and that the diameter is given by \[d=2*r\]so this gives \[c=d*\pi\] Now you have c = 42 inches, so\[d=c/\pi=42 inches/\pi \approx 13.37inches\]

ok so how did you come up with 2?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

C = pi x diameter, the diameter is twice the radius so the formula is usually presented as: C = pi times 2r, or just squish it together to be: C = 2pi r
