identify the slope and y intercept of the line with the given equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-7+5x

Ok, so remember that this is in what's called a Slope-Intercept form. And it looks like this: y=mx+b m=slope b=y-intercept So for y=-7+5x, it's just trying to trick you with switching around the (-7) and the (5x) Just switch it back around so it looks like y=mx+b. It'll look like this: y=5x-7 Then just look at it and identify your slope (m) and your y-intercept (b) m=5 b=-7 And that's your answer. Pretty simple. They just make it sound scary.

oh ok so thats it no graphing

Yeah. Really if all it's asking you is is to find the slope and y-intercept, that's already in the equation. If it doesn't tell you to graph, I wouldn't. Waste of time and/or effort. Hope that helps!
