i need to know how to factor these two equations please! f(x)= 1/2x^2+5/2x-3/2 and f(x)=1/3-1/3x^2 i need to know how to factor these two equations please! f(x)= 1/2x^2+5/2x-3/2 and f(x)=1/3-1/3x^2 @Mathematics

second one start with \[f(x)=\frac{1}{3}(1-x^2)\] and then factor as the difference of two squares

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first one is similar. start with \[f(x)=\frac{1}{2}(x^2+5x-3)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

although that one does not factor over the integers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THanks what do you mean by does not factor over the intergers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind i see what you re saying what would i do i have to find the zeroes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nevermind again I did the quadratic formula thanks again!
