If you only had the graph of a relation on a piece of grid paper, how could you graph the inverse without listing the ordered pairs?

reflect the graph around the line y = x. If you did have the ordered points, say (x, y), the inverse will give you (y, x). it will do this for every point on the graph, which is the same as reflecting the graph around the line y = x.
