what do N, Z, and Q mean in math?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because i think that N is numbers over 0, but not decimals. So like 1 2 896 45, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so all numbers above 0? including deciamals?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\mathbb{N} \mathbb{R} \mathbb{Q}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Natural number only include number from 1to countable number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those are just sets of numbers. \[\mathbb{N}\text{ only includes numbers ranging from 1,2,3,4,...,; only the positive integers}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know natural numbers dosn't include decimals. but do z intergers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then what are rational numbesr. all numbers, including negative?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Z stands for Zahlen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think Z includes the integers, which include 0 and the negative integers along with the postive integers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No integers doesn't include decimals

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rationals include decimals, and reals include the irrational decimals :-D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Z= positive and negative numers, but no decimals N= 1 to wherever, but no decimals, and no negatives Q = all numbers, negatives, decimals, etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

q doesn't include irrational

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Q doesn't include irrational numbers like pi and sqrt(2)
