reactants and products of fermentation reactants and products of fermentation @Biology

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Usually, a sugar is the substrate of fermentation. In the absence of oxygen, the sugar is partially broken down forming an acid or alcohol and may also release carbon dioxide gas. The actual substrate and end product depends upon the organism that is conducting the fermentation. For example, in cheese making, lactose is the sugar fermented and lactic acid is the end product. If you use yeast, glucose or sucrose is used and the end product is ethanol and CO2

get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um soory no i just need to know all the reactants and products not a whole paragraph and i already saw that on yahoo answers. haha

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Well we know yeast is the products and acid is a reactant........ ethanol is basically Alcohol so that is a reactant too

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

er product i mean

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

think you can help haze?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah one second.

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

good because im a little lost here myself Chemistry is not my forte

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok fermentation starts with glucose and ends with either lactic acid or alcohol
