OpenStudy Feedback 17 Online
OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Why are there TWO avenues of feedback? 1) open study feedback (this) 2) the little red "feedback" button on the right of the screen.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah good question, they should be merged into this one since it's more easier to communicate

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

hmmm - I'm using Chrome right now and the red feedback button appears to the left of the screen. I guess they put the red button there for those who have not joined the OpenStudy Feedback group?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if they want to feedback then they can join this group

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Sorry I typed right when I should have typed "left". The red feedback button is on the LEFT of my screen. In any event -- that doesn't address why there are at least TWO avenues of feedback. :)

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

I gave a possible answer above in the 2nd sentence ^^

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

> I guess they put the red button there for those who have not joined the OpenStudy Feedback group? I guess, but it's just a hypothesis. Also, I'm a member of the OS feedback group, but I still have the red button...

OpenStudy (asnaseer):

point taken :-) maybe they should have JUST the red feedback button in keeping with most sites where there is some sort of button or link for leaving feedback.

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Two things. First off, the feedback tab is more for tracking features. It is indeed somewhat mislabeled. This group is basically for *anything* regarding OpenStudy. Secondly, we like eating our own dogfood. This group has been a very effective communications medium for us, and lets us communicate to you as well as the other way around (e.g., posting about new features).

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

Secondly, yes, the feedback tab can be used if you're not logged in, as well.

OpenStudy (shadowfiend):

It's better at tracking features because it lets people vote on them, which is a good way for us to gauge demand.

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Hi Shadowfield, Thanks again for your quick replies. :) I suggest that when you're logged into OpenStudy, you are also logged into the "red feedback" as well. Cheers!
