integrate the following please.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits \sqrt{2y ^{2} - 5} / y dy\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think i need the steps to arrive at the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because you want to learn how to do the integral or because your homework assignment requires you to list steps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you just are trying to cheat on homework then go to wolfram alpha, type in Integrate[Sqrt[x^2-5]/x, x], and then click "show steps"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because i want to learn it, of course. i'm having trouble figuring out how to apply trigonometric substitution in this particular number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

great ... the "of course" i don't take for granted, so many people here just want the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you re-write the integral i cant see where that last y belongs
